Job description
Location: 100% travel throughout the USA on an 8 week on / 2 week off rotation
Job Type: Regular Full-time or Contract positions available
Job Responsibilities:
Cross-country travel 100% by air or truck on an 8/2 rotational basis to wind farms throughout the U.S.
Perform composite blade repair uptower via platforms or internal blade up to 120 meters
Epoxy and Polyester resin wet layup, vacuum infusion
Structural repair including leading edge, tips and root
Completing detailed Daily Progress Reporting Documents and QAQC reports
Completing onsite stock checks
Job requirements
You must have the following qualifications to be considered:
Can not be afraid of heights
1+ years of successful Composite repair experience
Uptower Platform experience
GWO Blade Repair certification or SGRE Blade C or SGRE Blade D qualification
GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certification
GWO Crain/Chain Hoist certification
GWO Slinger Signaler certification
SGRE North America EHS Regional Compliance training
Ability to safely and correctly use powered hand tools
IT literate (email, internet, iPad)
Willing to spend time away from home in the field
Valid, current driver's license and satisfactory MVR check
Must be 21 years of age to be able to drive a company vehicle
Must be able to meet the strenuous physical requirements of climbing ladders 2 or more times per day up to 1200 meters, bend, crawl, stoop and lift up to 75 pounds
US / Canadian citizens or legal to work in either country are eligible for the opportunity
