GEV Wind Power U.S. is seeking highly skilled and experienced GWO Wind Turbine Technical Instructors to join our North American Team. As a GWO Wind Turbine Technical Instructor, you will play a crucial role in training and developing our workforce to ensure the safe and efficient operation of wind turbines, in accordance with GWO and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking Instructors with knowledge, skills and certifications in any of the following: Blade Repair, Basic Safety Training (BST), Advanced Rescue (ART), Slinger Signaler, Basic Technical Training (BTT), Generic Crane, Rope Access, and other relevant skills
Responsibilities:
Develop and update high-quality training materials, presentations, manuals, and assessments to be used in the delivery of training
Personally deliver high-quality training programs on wind turbine technical and safety skills to employees and contractors, which meet customer and industry requirements
Conduct practical hands-on training sessions to enhance technical competencies
Evaluate trainees' performance and provide constructive feedback
Collaborate with HR and Operations to identify training needs and develop training plans
Maintain accurate training records and documentation
Create and submit certificates for each trainee upon satisfactory completion
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in wind turbine technology
Training could involve all of the following, but not limited to: Composite Blade Repair, GWO Basic Safety Training (BST), Advanced Rescue (ART), Slinger Signaler, Basic Technical Training (BTT), Generic Crane, Rope Access, NFPA 70E, OSHA 10, Confined Space, and general safety and technical skills
Job requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Proven experience as a Wind Turbine Technical and Safety Instructor
Minimum of 100 hours of vocational teaching experience
Strong knowledge of GWO standards and wind turbine technical skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to effectively train and mentor individuals with varying technical backgrounds
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid GWO certification is preferred
Physically able to climb, stoop, crawl, walk, demonstrate confined space work, stand on feet to present throughout the day, effectively and clearly present verbally to an audience,
OSHA 500 certified a plus
Proficient in using a PC including developing and using PowerPoint
